Do you TUNE in to English, as if you were finding a radio station?
Do you practiselistening with the written text in front of you?
In real life the words are not written down and you only hear them once!
The good news is that you may not need to understand every word or phrase you hear.
Practise filling in the gaps in your understanding by focusing on the CONTEXT. What comes before and after the word you don't know?
Listen to each recording at least three times. 1. Try to understand the general idea (the GIST). 2. Try to understand more specific details. 3. Read the transcript while listening, so you can SEE (visualise) the words.
Follow up: Study the vocabulary and grammar that caused you problems.
My YouTube channel has lots of FREE videos with transcripts to help you with your listening.
