Sport was compulsory as my High School in Northern Ireland.
I remember dreading going out after lunch on Thursdays in winter to play hockey.
I was hopeless at it and my knees went blue with the cold.
But I was good at netball and I loved hanging out with my team mates after school.
How about you?
Did you have to play sports at school?
What team sports did you play?
What individual sports did you practise?
Here is an IELTS Task 2 essay on the topic of SPORTS at school that you might like to practise writing.
Many parents believe that children should play team sports (like basketball or football)
instead of individual sports (such as jogging or swimming) during school hours.
Do you agree or disagree with the above statement?
Practise using the word + preposition combinations such as GOOD AT that you will learn about in my video. They will be another step towards getting the band score that you need.
Note down this English expression in your vocabulary book: BLUE WITH THE COLD
Have you ever gone blue with the cold?
Does this mean you were a little cold or a lot?
Tell me about it in a recording on your smartphone or write about it below this post.
